This is a story inspired by the fictional biography I wrote from Rashau's perspective based loosely off my perceived personal spiritual beliefs and self understanding. This is pretty much a re-rewrite of the finale of my Tycosian Saga "Tycosian Dreams", or of my first story "The Battle of Tycosa" but with as much fantasy as possible removed, just a bone dry narrative of events based again, loosely off my assumed or perceived memories of Korageth's lifetime. This is a fictional biography of a dragons life and existence, beginning to end.

A feral instinctual mind, a young dragon hatched and raised by a nomadic wolf humanoid and the experiences and life shared in result.

This is story was written up on a whim as an attempt to counter a long bout with writers block and to explore emotional awareness. This story was written in the December of 2008, wherein I tried to make improvements over my prior writing styles.

I wanted to write a story entirely from an animalistic, instinctual and emotional perspective free of dialogue. I had intended from the start to do it from a feminine point of view and after a meditative period I determined that I would portray the life cycle from birth to death of a feral western female dragon.

This story broke new ground for me, wherein it is my first story to portray some mild sexual content, nothing graphic, only implied, but you have been warned. Overall, you can expect this story to be quite bland and uneventful, just the life of an animal, if nothing else, then perhaps a lame love story.

Life as a Teenage Dragon

Prologue: Valley of dreams.

In a forgotten valley paradise once legendary for its cultures of humanesque beasts and guardian dragons a young explorer of wolfen decent has determined to explore the mountains of Calakos in hopes of finding the treasures of past descendants, he had heard the legends of the great civilizations once built in the valley generations before his time and wished to revive the forgotten pride of the Tycosian race. The wolfman adventurer known as Justra traveled up a craggy slope for several hours, his gray fur dusty and ragged from the climb, he rested on a ledge and looked over his homeland, the Lycona forest below him stretching onward into the distance to the Sycala mountain range infinitely encircling the landscape. Standing up from his short break he continued his long hike to rumored caverns above, until he came across a small cave. Peering through the rubble he noticed the entrance had at one time been larger, believing that he may have found what he was searching for the explorer lit a torch with his supply of flint and journeyed through the small tunnel into a deeper cavern. The adventurer traveled until the cavern ended in a large chamber, in which seemed to be a depression but nothing more. Dismayed Justra began to leave, when he had noticed a crack within a wall, sighting something wedged within it he took a closer inspection, what he had discovered was a large egg. The explorer thought to himself, childhood legends dancing in his mind "it couldn't be..." he thought to himself "all the dragons fled the valley long ago" prying the egg out carefully he begun the long trip down from the foreboding peak.

After carrying the large egg back to his village with great difficulty he concealed it within his dwelling and wrapped it in blankets telling no-one of his find. After several weeks he was stirred from his daily activities to see the egg in movement, he watched amazed to find that it was hatching. Justra watched as the egg slowly hatched and a small dark reptilian head poked forth, body following shortly afterward through the scattered egg shards. The dragon stared at Justra and Justra stood in amazement. The young dragon made a squeaking sound and looked at the wolf anthro. Justra flinched in shock and amazement "the hatchling?" "had the hatchling just talked to him?" Justra realized that his people having revered dragons as guardians of their ancestors would take the lone dragon from him, and possibly punish him for disturbing the sacred mountain of Calakos which he climbed, from that point on Justra gathered his most cherished possessions, and taking the hatchling with him, exiled himself from his people and tribe, traveling for three days and nights through the Lycona forest to a distant river, he settled a camp, within a small clearing and in time had built a dwelling place for himself and the dragon to stay.

Justra had proceeded to raise the hatchling in and later outside the hut. feeding the dragon was hard but Justra had managed through both hunting of animals and through the feeding of special fruits. In time when Justra had felt the hatchling was old enough he tried to teach it to fly by pushing it off the roof of the house and from the branches of trees, through many failed attempts and a badly bruised tail the dragon in time got the hang of its flight capabilities. After a long period the hatchling had gained sentience communicating with Justra through thoughts, motions, and cues. When the time was right, the dragon chose itself a name, Korageth, it meant peak, or zenith, firstly as he was found near the top of a peak, second as he was somewhat arrogant and wished a name of power. Justra over time had taught the dragon all he knew and of the past legends of their homeland, the guardianship of dragons, a great war between invaders, the death of the guardians, the exodus of the survivors, and that he, Korageth may be the last of his kind.

Twenty years had passed since Justra had discovered the lone dragon egg, the two had grown together and explored the lands far outside their forest home, the whole of the valley paradise within their sight, its great lakes and meadows newly found outside the forested hills, new landscapes to be explored and within the center of this forgotten valley world, in plain sight outside the forests resting in solitude upon the grassy meadows as if lost to time and soul was seen ruined stone structures, and in their center surrounded by crumbling walls and abandoned homes was the greatest spectacle, a spiraling tower of impossible construction reaching pridefully up to the overcast skies above.

It was then the two had discovered and explored the towering remains of the kingdoms capital the legendary city of Cycanthra. In his self imposed exile the Tycosian explorer Justra set forth to restore his ancestors homeland, whilst the dragon resided restless within the dark ruins, longing for purpose, for adventure. That dragon was me, I am Korageth, this is my story.

The Story of Tycosa
(The Battle For Paradise)

Background About Tycosa:
Tycosa meaning Paradise was a large valley somewhere on Terraset it had mountains on all sides. and consisted of lakes meadows and forests the sky was usually cloudy which provided calm temperatures anyway it was populated with animal people or beastmen (demi humans for lack of a better word) similar to the ones seen on certain anime (Tries to think of which animes...) like Inuyasha or certain monsters on Yuyu Hakasho, Dragonball or...

(Veltraz: he's trying to say Anthro humans = humans with animal like characteristics) oh yeah, Well anyway two hundred years ago they had a large empire in the center of the valley but human invaders from a kingdom north of the valley started a war and shattered the empire. The story sets off in the present. where a young explorer is searching for the ruins of this empire and finds a dragon egg.

Introduction:
(Character Commentary)

Dragon Trio: Well, here we are. We're the dragons from this story, and it will be told by us.

Jafira: Time for intro's! I'm the green dragon Jafira Sunstrike

Veltraz: I am Veltra Skyburn a yellow toned dragon.

Koragus: And I am Koragus Nightwind (Aka Korageth, Koren, or Koragas) the dark dragon of Tycosa!

Jafira: So who should start the story?

Veltraz: I would say I should start.

Koragus: No, I think I should, it's my story.

Veltraz: Fine then you can do it.

Koragus: With pleasure!

Jafira: Not him! He'll ruin it.

Koragus: Graa! Shut up, I'll do fine!

Veltraz: Good, but first let me explain to them what it's about.

Koragus: Ha, as if the humans would care I doubt other dragons would.

Veltraz: (sighs) Korageth please don't interrupt, now then, we lived in a valley called Tycosa or it could have been Colosa we forgot, we believe the world was called Terraset. We were the only ones of our kind left in that particular region or area, you see for some reason the dragons of Tycosa migrated away from that region long ago, and in separate ways we three were left behind and forced to raise ourselves.

Koragus: So we all grew up in separate parts of the valley. We eventually discovered each other then something happened. As it is my life, allow me to start with my earliest memories of these events.

The Warning:

It was another quiet morning in the valley of Tycosa Veltraz sat perch atop Mt. Tyfone he breathed the fresh morning air and the scent of the Lycona forest below. He dove from atop the cliff and flew through the cloudy skies over the valley to the Terresa river he took a drink and continued his morning flight he returned to his lair just as he had done every morning only this morning was different he arrived home to find a familiar face.

"Hello sister" said Veltra,. The dragoness looked at the aged dragon, "Veltraz your still here protecting our ancient home.." Veltra nodded "A century ago our Father died protecting this valley I chose to stay, I shall protect this land for him ." The dragoness Triyan looked at him, "Then I'm afraid it will be a lonely existence." "What do you mean?" Veltra responded curiously. Triyan got comfortable, and begin explaining "You remember I once told you of Caloka and the rebel dragons?" " Yeah? " Veltra nodded, "Well" Triyan continued, "They went through with it.. Tyraku slayed Caloka but it was too late the arconians declared a war on dragons, and are now preparing to hunt us the council has decided that we shall remain peaceful we will leave this region, dear brother I cannot stand to lose you please flee with us."

The Story of Tyrakus Draclow!

The Betrayal:

It was another summer day in the mountains of Sycala deep within these mountains lived a small clan of dragons they were few but powerful elsewhere near the mountains were a growing number of human colonies. The dragons lived in secret not wanting to fight with the humans if it could be avoided they were peaceful and knew that starting a battle would decrease their already waning numbers, besides they realized long ago that for every human they killed ten more would take their place they were like ants you could slaughter them all but they would soon be back with more numbers. So rather than fight a pointless battle they went into hiding. This is the kingdom of Arconia!

Our story starts off with two young dragons Tyrakus Draclow and his ally Caloka Blackwing They were young they were arrogant and they didn't like the peaceful life underground they wished for adventure They hated hunting only at night and wanted to fly the windy skies beyond the mountains. They plotted against the clan and planned to drive out the humans and take back the lands they're ancestors called home, the two dragons begun plotting a rebellion against the humans.

Alas they're plans where discovered, Caloka and Tyrakus where soon facing banishment from there home. it was at this point that Caloka and the other rebels betrayed Tyrakus and placed the full blame upon him. Tyrakus betrayed and saddened did little to defend himself and accepted his fate, Tyrakus was betrayed by his allies and rejected from his home he left that night to destinations unknown.

The Tycosian Chronicles

Tycosa meaning Paradise was a large valley surrounded by mountains on all sides, and consisting of lakes meadows and forests the sky was usually cloudy which provided calm temperatures the valley was populated with anthropomorphic beings, they had created a large empire located at the fertile center of the valley, but human invaders from a kingdom known as Arconia north of the valley had come. The Arconians first claimed to want peace but then a war party arrived to conquer the Tycosians.

The Tycosian populace having been traditionally a peaceful people were caught off guard by the first attack, in the confusion their king Wakaris was blamed for allowing the invaders in and was dethroned his young son prince Terado had taken his place. The war had been in affect for three weeks, the Tycosians city Cycanthra had been attacked they called for reinforcements but it was to late to save the city, the Tycosians not resisting had fled to the forest while the warriors and leaders retreated to the Grand Tower of Tycosa to defend their last structural resistance. The leaders of the valley could only watch helpless from their tower as their great city fell.

THE JOURNAL

My name is Gerris I am keeping this journal to chronicle our journey. We are a group of four arconian explorers we have traveled for many days to reach the Sycala mountains we were ordered by are emperor to examine the uncharted lands beyond those mountains and return with are findings. We are currently low on food and are about to turn back to the village of Dorana.

Prelude To The Tycosa Saga:

(Origin Mythos)

In another world known as Terraset, there was a war between mighty gods known as the mystics, the gods fought for land, as nature was their source of power, as the gods fought the planet withered and wilted, the mystics turned animals into warriors to fight, and enslaved humans as well. However one of the mystics hearing the cries of the planet, took his land, and cast up mountains around it, creating a pristine valley paradise shut off from the rest of the world.

As the mystics battled and the world decayed, the valley he had named Tycosa flourished. In time, the mystics begun to die out, and as they continued to fight, the peaceful mystic gathered the beast hybrids, dragons, and fallen warriors to live in peace within his valley free from the enslavement and war of his brothers. In time, one mystic came to power and destroyed the rest, his name was Kyambas, now, Kyambas alone in the barren wasteland of Terraset, was without power, yet within the Tycosian valley was the life and vitality necessary to revive the planet and give him strength.

A great war was fought, but with the aid of the creatures he had saved, and the nature of the valley, the good mystic was able to defeat Kyambas. During the battle the two canceled out each others power and became mortal. Their wars over and the planet battered and ruined. Hundreds of years passed and Terrasets history begun. Now the quest for survival in this new world begins, between the barren kingdom of Arconia and the hidden valley of the winds, Tycosa.
